I was so excited to have this weekend come, when my husband Joshua got to walk his big sister down the isle to have her give her hand in marriage to a wonderful man.  We were all over joyed to welcome Dane and his family into Maine and into our hearts as their lives joined together.

Having grown up in Maine, Michelle knew she had the perfect location for the wedding; the beautiful Fort Point State Park.  After many visits from their now hometown in Pennsylvania, Dane fell in love with Maine as well, and agreed.  Guests came in as far away as Santa Fe to join the couple in the celebration of their marriage.

On a quintessential mid-summer day in Maine, friends and family gathered for the union of Michelle and Dane; a perfect beginning to a beautiful love story.

Dane and family, we are so happy to welcome you to ours.  Michelle and Dane, thank you for having us be such a big part of your special day.

Another adorable family is taking over the blog this morning!

Although Keegan only gave me 30 minutes to bundle up all of his cuteness, I think we captured the little bugger.  Lol - he was on the move and he had a time limit (set by himself)!
What a handsome little man who completely adores his mommy and daddy!

Thank you Lindsey, Garrett, and Keegan for asking me to photograph your family.
I hope you like your sneak peeks!!

Miss Audrey ~ 2011 Maine Senior Photography

Audrey was adorable and quiet... apparently not quite her usual self since her mom may have hinted (just  a little) that Audrey is known to push the limits at home!

What?!  Sorry, couldn't see it - I don't believe it still!  lol

Audrey is a 2011 senior, who definitely prefers chocolate over vanilla and says the one thing she can not leave home without is her cell phone.  Check out what else we learned!!  :)

When I grow up, I want to be ~ "an engineer"

My best friends say I am ~ "witty"

If I could have super powers, I would ~ "have the ability to read minds"

Thanks so much to Audrey and her mom for coming to meet us last night at Mossman Park!  We hope you enjoy your seek peaks!

The True Meaning of Love ~ Jenn & Jared

What a beautiful day filled with love, laughter, and life!

What a special wedding to be a part of!  Jenn and Jared showed the true meaning of love on this very special day.  Love not only for each other, but, love for family.

Jenn and Jared's wedding was originally scheduled in June, when a sudden family emergency threw everything up in the air just a week before their big day.  Jenn, Jared, and the family put a hold on the wedding and tended to the special circumstances that sat before them.

Miraculously, a positive outlook came and Jenn and Jared were able to set their second date.  Thanks to the power of prayer and the love from friends and family, Jenn was able to have her father see her get married and even dance with him at her reception, something just a short time ago, she didn't know would be possible.  There is still a road ahead for recovery and complete wellness, but, at least now they know it is still possible to take that journey together.

What an amazing story about love and life.

Jenn, Jared, family, and friends, you are all such an amazing family.
Thank you so much for sharing your day with us.

Happy Birthday Sum-Sum!

I photographed this little munchkin and her family about a month ago for her upcoming 1st birthday.  After all of the pictures were shot and the excitement building for my first baby blog since little Baby William, Summer's mom says "You know, you can't show anybody these yet - they have to be a surprise for her birthday!"

What?!

Well, good thing I had some fabulous shoots to keep my mind occupied, cause the last few weeks have flown by, and I am now very excited to share some very cute photos of a special little girl that has (finally - haha) turned one!

I am trying to do better to put out my full blogs after the sneak peeks!  I just get so wrapped up in editing, that I either forget, or just run out of time.

So, what better wedding to start full wedding blogging than Kyle and Megan's from
Maple Hill Farm in Hallowell!

I am in love with this little bed and breakfast!  The ceremony spot they have set up is perfect, their reception area is beautiful, and of course there are many places for the animals of the farm ..... and photographers to roam!!  Love it!

When I edit, I organize my photos in groups from what happened during the day, so, I have picked one from each group as my favorite.

The details! Megan and Kyle met while in college, so, on each table, there were pictures of different  areas of their campus.  How cute!  Pair that with a whoopie pie and daisies - perfect!

The amazing cake!

Megan's sister pinning the flower on her dad before the ceremony.  How sweet.

Megan and her father walking out of the bed and breakfast.

The barn door that I loved, Megan really liked, and Kyle said "you want us in front of the door?!"
Haha.  Hope you like the shot Kyle!!

Annnndddd... the dip.  Kyle and Megan, you know why I am choosing this as my favorite!

Thank you so much again to Megan, Kyle, friends, and family! Thank you to Maple Hill Bed & Breakfast, we loved your little farm you have and can't wait to come back for another wedding!

A Little Story About a Boy and a Girl...

I am totally going off the beaten path for this one tonight!  Josh and I had so much fun shooting Sam and Becca's wedding on Sunday, so I just want to share a little story with you instead of the norm.

I have known Becca since grade school and she was just the cutest little thing!  I was so excited when she asked me to photograph their wedding (you will hear this again next week when we photograph another fabulous woman all grown up that I knew as a cute little girl from grade school!) so I could see what a beautiful and mature young lady she had grown up to be!

Beautiful - yes.  Mature - yes.  ...... Silly - definitely!!  Becca, Sammy, and all of the closest friends and family had so much joy, laughter, and love to share with each other, it was so fun to watch them all take part in such a special occasion.

So, as I said, I have a little story to tell...

There once was a beautiful young lady named Becca.....

Whom had a very big crush on a strapping young lad named Sam....

They fell in love and decided to marry...

The sweet Becca shared her vibrant personality with her husband and her guests...

They sealed their love and commitment with a kiss..

Becca's girls were sweet, wild, crazy, and full of life and love for their bestest friend...

The men were a little quiet, reserved, and there to celebrate the day with their good friend; Sam

But, despite their different friends' personalities, they are the perfect couple....

With friends and family looking on, the sweet Becca danced her first dance with her husband...

The sweet Becca enjoyed wonderfully tasty food with her husband....

The sweet Becca.................

Surprised us all...........................

And did a quick ninja move to snatch the cake before it was even finished being cut.....

And smashed it directly in her husband's face.

Sam took his revenge, and the sweet Becca helped her husband wipe off the cake .....

And again, they sealed their love with a kiss.

And they will live happily ever after.
The beginning.

Becca, Sammy, friends and family, thank you so much for inviting Josh and I to be a part of your special day.  You have a beautiful love story to tell!
